The Southern Garden Symposium, renowned for its outstanding lectures and workshops, returns to the lush gardens of St. Francisville Oct. 23-24.

Friday’s events include workshops on floral design, shade gardening and bizarre botanicals. Speakers on Saturday include LSU Ag Center’s Allen Owings, award-winning floral designer Scott Hasty, and author Larry Mellichamp. An array of tools, books and plants will also be for sale.
