Families Helping Families is hosting “Sewing Rocks” Oct. 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Highland Presbyterian Church. Bring your sewing machine and learn to make weighted blankets, lap pads and neck wraps for individuals with autism. These items can provide a unique sense of comfort to those experiencing the sensory problems often associated with autism. Lunch and quilting kits will be provided.
