Foodies unite for flood relief at brunch event this Sunday
Brunch: an activity often associated with lazy afternoons and country club meet-ups, mimosas and fancy breakfast foods. But this Sunday in Baton Rouge, everyone is welcome to “Brunching for Greater Baton Rouge,” a charity dining event throughout the city that was organized to benefit flood victims.
This August 28, participating restaurants will give 15% of all brunch proceeds to the Baton Rouge Area Foundation’s Louisiana Flood Relief Fund. The restaurants also ask that attendees bring school supplies, uniforms and shelter items if they can. A whole backpack filled with school supplies and uniforms would be especially helpful.
