“Kenneth and I met through work in 2012,” says Paydan. “After tons of coffee dates and walks in the park, he proposed on Christmas Day in 2015 while we were in Christmas pajamas.”

Leading up to her special day, Paydan was hoping for one thing–good weather. And while the winds still came on the wedding day, the rain subsided.

“It rained for all of our wedding festivities before the big day,” says Paydan. “My dad is deceased and right before the wedding, I just kept praying that we would have good weather and, despite raining  all that week, it didn’t rain at all the day. I think my dad came through for us because the next day hurricane weather came through and knocked out the power at the plantation!”
