Ten-year-old Emma’s bedroom is all set for sweet dreams with an antique iron bed that belonged to her aunt when she was a girl. The walls are washed in Farrow & Ball’s “Setting Plaster,” a pale but warm pink shade. The large floral painting above the nightstand is by Emma’s grandmother Christy Diniz-Liffman, and the framed floral embroidery on the wall near the window is by her great-grandmother Shirley Brooks; the small painting above it is by Baton Rouge artist Jacqueline Dee Parker.

Room tour: A sweet and serene little girl’s bedroom

Our September issue features the home of design pro Jennifer Liffman. Here’s a peek of Liffman’s signature style on display in the bedroom of her 10-year-old daughter Emma.

The thoughtfully designed room is filled with timeless elements that will remain relevant as her daughter grows. In addition, many of the items in Emma’s room hold special significance as family heirlooms, including her iron bed and much of the art.
