Sweltering summer heat can’t keep us from hitting the grill on Independence Day. It’s a national tradition! Couple the flaming burgers with cool drinks, frozen deserts and water fun for the kids. And make sure there is plenty of red, white and blue to go around.

“The patriotic nature of the Fourth of July is so much fun,” says Angela DiVincenti Babin of Angela Marie Events. “Here, I used the colors in a homemade blueberry cobbler and ice cream dessert, a blue adults-only drink, as well as a strawberry trifle. Fresh and festive summer fun!”
