Dish: Gourmet Girls’ Seasonal Tartine and Citrus Salad
Fine catering and meals-to-go is Gourmet Girls founder Katia Mangham’s longtime specialty, and an expansion last year at her Studio Park retail storefront has given her even more space to create. A 2,400-square-foot addition completed in November allows for plenty of room for the store’s exclusive retail items and artisan meals-to-go. Take in design ideas, while you pick up lunch from the seasonal carry-out menu. The rotating tartine features seasonal produce such as fresh peaches paired with whipped ricotta, chili-infused honey and fresh basil on grilled ciabatta. Enjoy it with a citrus salad made with fresh lettuces from Covey Rise Farms, boiled Gulf shrimp, watermelon radishes, avocado and a vinaigrette flavored by blood orange juice and fresh mint. The shop also features boutique dinners to go, including lasagna with Mangham’s homemade pasta and pot pie prepared with organic chicken and homemade crust.
