Go ‘safari chic’ for Brew at the Zoo Friday
It’s that time of year! Halloween festivities and events are only just beginning, with the transition of seasons bringing us closer to the spooky holiday. The third annual Brew at the Zoo will take place this Friday, October 7, starting at 6 p.m. The much-anticipated event will feature food and beer tastings, live music and more. The lineup of restaurants catering the event includes Beausoleil, The Bulldog, Galatoire’s Bistro, Brew Ha-Ha! and many more. At this adults-only event, guests will also be able to taste test a variety of different craft beers. Attendees are encouraged to show off their best “safaric chic” style. Online tickets are sold out, but tickets can still be purchased at Whole Foods in Towne Center while supplies last. General admission is $40 and $20 for designated drivers.
And if you’re looking for a family-friendly zoo activity this October, check out Boo at the Zoo, a “merry-not-scary” trick-or-treating event set for October 22, 23, 29 and 30. Kids in costume can visit treat stations throughout the zoo, ride the Cypress Bayou Railroad on a “Spooky Train Ride,” and make their way through a hay maze. The fun happens during regular zoo hours, and regular admission applies.
