‘Seussical the Musical’ celebrates the silly side of life at Theatre Baton Rouge this week
Anyone looking for a post-holiday escape can find it in Whoville, thanks to Seussical the Musical taking the stage at Theatre Baton Rouge this week. Under the direction of Jack Lampert and Caty Steward, this musical production by the TBR Young Actors Program brings with it all the antics of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and many more. With music and lyrics by Tony winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty of Once on This Island fame, you can bet on a night worth donning your best Bar-ba-loot suits.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. shows on February 3, 4 and 5 still remain, and can be purchased online for $25 to $35. For more information, visit theatrebr.org.
