BLDG 5’s Caviar Board
A few months ago, BLDG 5 sweetened the experience for its afternoon loyalists. “We added the caviar board,” BLDG 5 brand manager Brayden Buyas says. “This was our way of doing something for those guests who like to hang out with us between lunch and dinner.”
Served between 2 and 4 p.m. only, the indulgent snack plays on the restaurant’s early embrace of board culture—its menu is awash in grazing options. The caviar board sees an ounce of bowfin caviar joined by grilled naan blini, rosemary focaccia, potato chips, crème fraîche, pickled grapes and red and yellow bell peppers—all house-made accompaniments. Buyas recommends washing it down with a glass or two of German Sekt, a dry sparkling wine. “It’s a very nice pairing,” he says.
